The Pax is a region of friends getting together to debate on senseless stuff and to figure out who will take over the world first: 4Chan or Bungie.
The Pax exists in the known universe but it also exists outside the known universe using quantum physics to create a SlipSpace field that is generated around are region so when you see are region when you are flying over it, you are merely seeing an afterimage of us because we are moving so fast are image stays there forever. We still exist in the known universe but to get into the SlipSpace field you must hold a position of power within The Pax because it you are within the field you will know everything about the universe like how the universe was created (beyond the knowledge of regular humans but known to the officers of The Pax).
